Emphasizing the high potential the Hambantota Port has in boosting the tourism sector in Sri Lanka Carsien also said that the easy access to the Port for ship of this size was a nice experience for him and also said it was a good location for more cruise ships.
“if you want to experience the part of Sri Lanka you need to stay for several days here and visit South- East Coast. You will really appreciate this part of Sri Lanka”, the Captain added.
Daily Newspaper carrying the news item on the Ms. Rotterdam Cruise ship quoted the general manager of Malship(Ceylon)Limited, the shipping agent of the ship as saying that more new Cruise ships would be arriving at the Hambantota Port in the future
He further said that the port had enough facilities for cruise line and invited all the parties to grab the opportunities to develop the tourism sector by getting support from the Hambantota Port.
