On 13 August, Mr. Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), launched the official website for Voyage Sri Lanka 2025 at the EDB premises. Accessible at www.voyagesrilanka.lk, the platform offers comprehensive information for participants and stakeholders, including summit details, registration, and opportunities to engage with Sri Lanka’s emerging marine economy.

Scheduled for 16 October at The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo, Voyage Sri Lanka 2025 builds on the success of its inaugural 2024 edition, which hosted 240 participants from eight countries and featured 24 global speakers. This year, the summit expects over 300 attendees from 12+ nations, emphasizing actionable strategies to transform Sri Lanka’s blue economy potential into tangible business outcomes.

Under Mr. Wijesinghe’s leadership, the summit will convene government policymakers, industry leaders, global investors, academia, and innovators to focus on strategic marine opportunities. Highlights include a keynote address by a distinguished Sri Lankan expert, three high-impact panel discussions on Trincomalee as a strategic gateway, offshore energy and LNG infrastructure, and the integration of boat building with nautical tourism.
