Honour, Respect and a Friendship That Continues to Grow

In a warm and meaningful meeting held in Colombo, H.E. Major General Nayyar Naseer met with Major General Aruna Jayasekara, reflecting the deep friendship, mutual respect, and growing cooperation between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The discussions focused on strengthening defence cooperation, expanding training opportunities, enhancing regional security collaboration, and improving disaster management efforts in the face of increasing climate-related challenges. Both sides also exchanged views on combating transnational maritime crimes, particularly drug trafficking, through closer cooperation and technical support.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both nations to stronger ties, continued engagement, and lasting friendship built on trust, honour, and mutual understanding.
