Sri Lankan Women-Led Tech Firms Step Up to the Global Stage at GITEX 2025

A delegation of Sri Lankan women-led tech entrepreneurs took on the world stage at GITEX Global & Expand Northstar 2025 in Dubai, forging connections with investors, partners, and international mentors. Coordinated by the Export Development Board (EDB) alongside the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Dubai, the team included four SMEs, two major technology firms, and an EDB representative, spotlighting Sri Lanka’s innovation potential.

The event, hosting over 200,000 visitors from 180+ countries, showcased transformative technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Future Mobility, Sustainability, and the Metaverse. The delegation also plugged into networking events, carved out strategic meetings, and tapped into global mentorship opportunities via startup incubators and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Part of the New Exporter Development Programme (NEDP), the initiative aims to boost Sri Lanka’s tech footprint, expand investor ties, and drive sustainable growth in international markets.
