Sri Lanka Elevates Global Trade with Expo 2026

Sri Lanka is intensifying its international trade presence ahead of Sri Lanka Expo 2026, the country’s flagship trade and investment exhibition, scheduled from 18–21 June 2026 at BMICH, Colombo. Organised by the Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development and key public and private stakeholders, the Expo aims to position Sri Lanka as a dynamic hub for commerce, innovation, and strategic global partnerships.
As part of these efforts, a high-level delegation led by Hon. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, alongside Mrs. Thilaka Jayasundara, Secretary to the Ministry, and Mr. Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman and CEO of EDB, held a series of discussions with foreign diplomatic missions in Sri Lanka. Meetings with H.E. Andrew Patrick, British High Commissioner, H.E. Dewi Gustina Tobing, Ambassador of Indonesia, and H.E. Miyon Lee, Ambassador of South Korea, focused on strengthening bilateral trade ties and encouraging international buyer and investor participation in the Expo.
The exhibition will feature 650 booths across Industrial, Agro-Industrial, and Services sectors. Industrial highlights include apparel, textiles, fashion, rubber, plastics, gems, jewellery, engineering, electronics, shipbuilding, and marine services. Agro-Industrial products cover tea, spices, coconut-based products, seafood, processed foods and beverages, ayurveda, herbal and cosmetic products, cut flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Services will feature ICT and business process management, tourism, logistics, construction, renewable energy, wellness, and healthcare services.
