Sri Lanka Turns Up the Heat in India with Bold Lifestyle Export Drive

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi and the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Mumbai, led a 19-member SME delegation to the 61st IHGF Delhi Fair Spring 2026. The programme provided Sri Lankan Giftware & Lifestyle SMEs with firsthand exposure to global product trends, contemporary design directions, sustainable production practices, and innovative branding strategies.

Alongside the exhibition, participants engaged in strategic networking sessions in New Delhi and Mumbai, meeting potential buyers, distributors, and industry stakeholders, including the World Trade Centre Mumbai and MACCIA. Visits to handicraft manufacturing sites further strengthened understanding of modern production techniques and export-ready design development.

The initiative marks a significant push by the EDB to bridge knowledge gaps, foster international collaborations, and position Sri Lankan SMEs for premium global markets, transforming traditional craftsmanship into globally competitive, value-added export products.
